Park Güell

この場所について

Gaudí's Park Güell is a dreamscape of mosaic benches, organic stone colonnades, and sweeping views over Barcelona to the sea. The late-afternoon light makes the trencadís mosaics shimmer with colour, turning the park into something out of a fantasy film.

The mosaic salamander (El Drac) near the entrance is the iconic shot, but the undulating bench on the main terrace with the city behind it is more photogenic. Afternoon sun brings out the most colour in the mosaics. Overcast days flatten them.

The main terrace gets all the attention, but walk down to the viaducts beneath — the stone columns look like a cathedral designed by nature. Late afternoon light through the arches is extraordinary.
