About This Place

The Latin Quarter is one of the oldest and most charming neighbourhoods in Paris, home to the Sorbonne, Shakespeare and Company bookshop, and a web of narrow streets filled with cafés, creperies, and independent shops. It is the kind of place where a simple walk becomes the highlight of the day.

Stop at Shakespeare and Company even if you are not a big reader — the building itself is magical. Then grab a crêpe from one of the stands on Rue de la Huchette and eat it walking along the Seine. That is Paris at its simplest and best.
